Three Times....OK I am listening

I have started a bible study at church on Wednesday nights. Rebecca had us open our bibles to Deuteronomy 31:7 last week and in doing so I found 31:6 underlined with the year "2007 and baby" written next to it. I enjoyed reading the scripture and seeing His promise to me. This is the beginning of the scripture that I used as a focal point during labor and delivery (Deuteronomy 31:8). I had it posted on the wall right in front of me so I could cling to His promises during the process of meeting Camden. So last Wednesday, was my first moment. My second came during my bible study at home when I decided I need to send this to the girls in my accountability group. This is a truth that we all need to claim. The third was last night. I went to a dear friends Birthday party and instead of thank you notes she wrote out one word that described us and a verse that came to her mind. My word was brave, and my verse.....Deuteronomy 31:6. OK, I am listening.....I pray that these words cover you today and that you hear Him too.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (New International Version)
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6 (The Message)
6 "Be strong. Take courage. Don't be intimidated. Don't give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He's right there with you. He won't let you down; he won't leave you."
Anyone else need that promise? I wonder who "they" are?

Anyone?

(I borrowed this picture from Jodi Hickerson)

Is anyone else just heartbroken about Haiti? I can't get it out of my mind, I wake up in the middle of the night and just feel so blessed for a bed to sleep in, a roof over my head, heat, and the list goes ON and ON! We are rich! We have been given so much, so what is God calling me to do? I have some ideas (really Stef, I do...), and I just haven't acted on them yet. I don't know what I am waiting for....

I have never been to Haiti for a mission trip. When I was younger we went on a cruise and we stopped in Haiti....of course there was a HUGE wall that seperated us for the extreme poverty. At that age I had no idea. I have had friends who have gone on mission trips, who live there, and who have taken beautiful pictures on the people and hung them on their walls. My heart simply breaks. After all, they are God's children, He loves them and so do I. Honestly, I just don't have a want.....I don't need anything else. I am so blessed. I want to live simply and give abundantly.

I pray God continues to break my heart for what breaks His. It isn't fun, or easy, but it helping me see through His eyes.

Carb up

stylin' and profilin' just like Grandaddy...
Camden fell asleep in his Daddy's arms after a long day, sweet picture

carb up little buddy!

Don't worry Camden didn't get in a fight with the coffee table....he ate speghetti! (loved it!!)

buddies, Camden is teaching Sampson about animals

rocking the day away

Attempting to crawl

Watching it snow
taking a spin in his little red wagon (inside)

Traning for the mini has been going well. My left knee is starting to ache, but hey I am sure they aren't used to me running. I am borrowing my mom's knee brace, taking fish oil, and putting heat on my knees at night. Please pray they hold up, I really want to Run for the Refuge. This amazing group of people created The Refuge to help women get out of the exotic dancing industry. They will house women for a complete year, help them acquire skills to obtain a job and live independently out of the clubs. YES! I really want to raise money to help these amazing women.

Camden has been busy over the last few weeks too. He is on all fours rocking back and forth and has "crawled" a few times. He will be on the move so soon, and my life is about to change drastically. He has been saying "momma" and also "talking," he is passionate about what he is saying, I just don't know what it is quite yet. Probably "mommy and daddy are the best, and I love you." He has been trying all kinds of foods and really decreasing the amount of formula he takes. (I did ask the dr at our last appt and he said Camden didn't look like he was hurting from the lack of formula and stated he is eating people food. Why when they say the obvious does it seem so simple, I make it so complicated). He loves Sampson and has some great friends already. We are still loving life with our little guy. Enjoy the pictures....

So I have been inspired by the first birthdays we have recently celebrated...Jordan, Joseph, Sophie and Riley (we will celebrate soon) and decided to start "thinking" about my little guys big bash. Katie was kind enough to give me a candle, so I am taking the colors off that and running with it! (Thanks friend). Nakada is letting me borrow her cake pan shaped like a one, (fufetti cake, yes please)....and I am making the cake....I might be planning a little early! I also have a friend who has started a company making really cute shirts so Camden will be sporting the above on a short sleeve onsie on his big day. Be sure you check out Kendra's website for a shirt for any holiday or no reason at all...they are so cute! http://thewhitelillystore.blogspot.com/I have some pix to post and will do that tomorrow. Thanks friends.

I don't know if I have mentioned on my blog yet, but I am starting a new job....what???? My husband has asked me to work from home and do administrative duties for Concrete Coring. (Leann the best admin ever has decided to go to school fulltime...so proud of her, and very excited too). I am thrilled for this opportunity to "work" from home because it helps us out financially and I still get to stay home with my boy. In preparing for my new job we had to take my old PC into the shop to get it to work again...I don't know if it had a virus, I just couldn't turn it on for about a year. I was really sad about it, because I had all kinds of pix from the past stored on it. So last night, the computer came home and I couldn't wait to look at my pix. Oops, I forgot that my husband wanted to start training me. I was a little bummed, but do APPRECIATE him sitting down with me and walking me through the process of accounts payable and recievable. He has been so kind and told me if I get overwhelmed or don't feel like this is a good fit to be honest with him. He is the best. I am going to continue to sub too, so I kind of have three jobs....talk about big deal!! (totally kidding). So, here are some pix that I had the pleasure of rediscovering this morning....love ya'll.. Happy snow and PJ Day!

Beginning...

So I started training for the mini marathon yesterday. I met up with Jess and we ran 2 miles in her neighborhood. I made it a mile and a half and walked about a half a mile. I was proud of myself for making it that far. I enjoyed being outside (even though it was FREEZING) and LOVED spending time with my dear friend. My ipod wasnt charged so I couldn't listend to my super cool running mix, but I got to chat with Jess...that was better then any running mix. I strength train today and then run again tomorrow. Please pray that my body stay healthy and that this not be about me.....I am so excited about tackling this goal. So...here we go.....
