I wish this was as good as the real thing....I love Colorado

We love you guys....thanks Nickell's for such a great trip

The hubs and I with an incredible back drop...isn't God so good...

I think this is what Heaven will look like

Colin was in elk heaven....he was in his element

Sorry I took a little break from blogging due to our recent trip to Colorado. We went west to visit our good friends the Nickell's, minus sweet baby Camden. He stayed here with Grandma and Grandaddy. We had a great time in Estes Park hiking (4 miles!) We spent Friday night at a beautiful cabin in the woods, ate lots of good food, and got to spend time with some really great friends. As much fun as we had in Colorado I really, really missed my sweet baby boy. I know he was in incredible hands....but I missed his little smile and snuggles. Today we have taken it easy together. Enjoy the pictures.....

This spit is bananas....seriously

I promised Colin to take pictures of Camden's banana experience. He wanted me to video tape the event, but I only have two hands (he wanted me to duct tape the camera to my head Survivor style) Cam is loving FOOD!

Told you...this spit is bananas

He loves them!

Camden is off and running with food....so far he loves all of it. We started with rice and oatmeal, check. Next we moved to carrots, peas, and sweet potatoes, check. Today I started breakfast out with bananas and oatmeal and HE LOVE IT! I know that you are supposed to run through all the veggies before going to fruit, but I just knew he would love the tast of oatmeal and bananas...so I went there. I am also doing each veggie two days and he is doing great. Thanks to many phone calls, emails, and responses to my previous post I have decided to try the following schedule today:

8-8oz of formula and oatmeal with bananas
8-10 play
10-11:30 nap
11:30 8oz of formula rice and carrots
11:30-1:30 play
1:30-3:30 nap
3:30 8oz formula rice and carrots (or bananas)
3:30-6:30 play (with a cat nap in there somewhere)
6:30 bath
7:00 bottle and bed

Wish us luck and have a great weekend. We have our friends from Atlanta here this weekend for the UK/UL football game. Next weekend off to Colorado!! (see you soon Nickell's)

Tomorrow pix of recent visitors and visits!!!

Screaming....

Right now I am listening to my sweet little guy scream his head off. He refuses to take naps....I don't get it. He has another 30 minutes to go....so, I decided to go and look a pictures of him when he isn't so sad. The one above is my current favorite. Please tell me this crying/napping gets easier?

Thoughts....

My mind is still racing on ways that we can help our surrounding community (I am excited about an opportunity coming up soon to make meals for Africa with SCC)...I don't just want to think LEX, I also want to thing globally. My prayer for the last few years is that God call me and Colin on a mission trip together. I have a desire to serve along side my husband and to work as a team. I don't know when or if that will happen, and if it does where....but I am listening, and I will go. (sorry mom and dad). It would be really cool if God called our whole family, when Camden was old enough to understand. I don't know if it would be here or across the world....I don't know what we would be doing, but I think that it would be really cool.

What if a group of our closest friends all went together....talk about community. All I know from my experiences in N. Ireland is that the team you are called to serve with truly does become your family. You travel, eat, pray, worship, serve, cry, rejoice, etc together. You not only rely on God, but also on the people that are next to you.

I don't know where He is calling us, or if he is calling us....but the desire is definately there.

Speak...

1 Samuel 3:9-10 (The Message)

8-9 God called again, "Samuel!"—the third time! Yet again Samuel got up and went to Eli, "Yes? I heard you call me. Here I am."

That's when it dawned on Eli that God was calling the boy. So Eli directed Samuel, "Go back and lie down. If the voice calls again, say, 'Speak, God. I'm your servant, ready to listen.'" Samuel returned to his bed.

10 Then God came and stood before him exactly as before, calling out, "Samuel! Samuel!"

Samuel answered, "Speak. I'm your servant, ready to listen."

This past weekend at church we studied Revelation. This book always freaked me out...I didn't understand all the objects, numbers, and honestly the anti-christ scared me to death (thanks Kirk Cameron). I have learned to see this book in a whole new light and am learning to appreciate it. Our challenge for the last month has been to get out of our seats and make Jesus famous and known to the surrounding community. The Stout's have been traveling and unable to do anything....until now. My husband has thought of a way for our family to reach out and help the community. I am so proud of him for stepping up and challenging our family. It is something so simple and I pray that God continue to give us more and more opportunities to serve. We are going to spend an hour this week cleaning up trash in our neighborhood. I sat yesterday just wondering where God is going to lead our family and how He will use us. I am open as Samuel says above..."Speak. I'm your servant, ready to listen."

Big Weekend

Me and Jess all snazzy for Allison and Taylor's wedding

Lauren took a minute to love on Cam during Jack's 2nd Birthday celebration

Happy Grandparents Day to all our amazing Grandparents....we are beyond blessed.

So proud of my boy....eating big boy food

"Those carrots are awesome!"

We had the busiest weekend since Camden was born. Colin and I attended two weddings, a baby shower, a birthday party, and he hunted (still no bambi yet). It was so much fun celebrating with two beautiful couples as they started their lives together. We are anxiously awaiting our niece Katelyn to arrive (any time now), and celebrated two amazing years with our buddy Jack. Needless to say, we are all exhausted and looking forward to getting into bed early.

Camden also tried carrots for the first time tonight. These are the carrots that Stef and I made and I am happy to report HE LOVED THEM....maybe I do have a future in cooking (really bland, mushy, stuff). Enjoy the pictures from our awesome weekend.

PS Thank you so much for replying and advising on my last post!!! Love it!

Week in Review....

Camden Wade Stout age: 4.5 months, and Williman Henry Howard age: 2
BFF

My friend Kristin stopped by on Wednesday with William to bring us lunch. Will was just itching to hold Camden and he was so, so sweet with him. Love this picture so much.

What a great picture...

Nana Pam with her sweet Grandson

75% in length....

cereal (I promise he is starting to like it)

We had a great Labor Day weekend with Nana Pam. I haven't had as much time to blog due to my son not being a big fan of naps. He is an amazing, AMAZING, sleeper at night so I can't complain. (7-7, some days 7-8), we don't like to speak of this as we fear it may jinx it. Nana Pam fed Cam his first full bowl of cereal, came really close to seeing Cam roll over (still working on that one), and bought him some sweet pj's. We had a blast and are already looking forward to celebrating Christmas with both her and Craig.

This week has been spent around the house. We have been trying to iron out these naps. I would love your opinion....is it normal to have this type of schedule? (am I complaining for nothing).

8-wake up 8oz of formula
9-nap
10-back up, eats some cereal or rice
10-12 play and hang out with mommy
12 8oz of forumla
12-1 nap (I want this to be at least two hours)
1-4 hang out with mommy and 8 oz of formula
4-5 nap
6-cereal
6:30-bath, 8oz of formula
7 or 7:30 bed

We do a little baby wise...just not in the "correct" order. We tend to eat, sleep, wake instead of sleep, eat, wake (I think). Please let me know your thoughts and also know I have a very good baby...I love him to death, it is just nice to know how everyone else operates.

This weekend the Stout's are super busy with 2 weddings, deer hunting, baby shower, and a 2nd Birthday party. Par-tay!! We are exciting to have a date night on Saturday and Camden is spending the night with Grandma and Grandaddy.....yeah!! (I say that now but know I will miss peaking in on my man).

Camden is growing longer and longer each day. He is in 6 month clothing due to his length. He is busting (literally) out of his 3-6 onsies. (how is that a size anyway). He is loving whole wheat cereal the best, and still trying to figure out oatmeal. Sunday we will start fruits and veggies. (I make the veggies with Stef and buy the fruit).

We are loving life and eating up every moment God gives us with baby camden. Again, so sorry about the lack of posting, but if the boys asleep I am cleaning, napping, ect.

almost five months....

We had our four month appointment with the Dr a little later than normal due to our big wedding weekend and vacation. During our appointment we learned that Camden is 26in long (75%) and 14.4lbs (25%). They also cleared us to start trying cereal. We tried last night (see pix) and I tried again today. He doesn't seem to like the texture and tends to gag....hmmmm. I haven't see anyone walking around my age still on formula so I am sure he will get the hang of it soon enough. I posted a three part video of our cereal adventure last night.

Nana Pam is visiting us this Labor Day weekend. We are looking forward to spending some time with her and showing off baby Camden! Have a safe and relaxing holiday weekend.

Pix...

Here are the pix I have been promising, again so sorry about the delay. I had the opportunity to sub at TLS on Tuesday and Wednesday and forgot how tired a full day of Kindergarten makes you. I really loved being back in the classroom, but did miss my little man. Enjoy the pix.

Wedding weekend begins...ready for the rehearsal dinner (wedding and vacation just around the corner)

Family photo at Uncle Mac and Aunt Whitney's wedding (what a beautiful evening)

all stretched out after a SUPER long car ride

Cam loves vacation!

Daddy and Me

Mommy and me

Jess came with us to help with baby Camden (and so mommy and grandma had a shopping partner)

I noticed two things different during this vacation...no pictures of adults (maybe 5 at the most) and I no longer enjoy shopping for myself. This is one of Jess, Dad, and I outside an amazing restaurant. (don't know the name...another observation, loss of brain cells)

This is one of my favorites from vacation...love those sweet eyes

He is going to dislike me very much for this picture someday...

Mommy went outlet mall shopping and she went a little nuts....she picked up this really cute hat (and the above sunglasses)

Three Generations of Wade's....love all these boys

On our way home we stopped in Ocala to visit Camden's great grandparents. They fixed us an amazing meal to help get us to Atlanta.

When we got home from Florida we went on a walk and surprise we needed jeans and a jacket for the cool evening (mommy loves this time of year)

Subbing...

Soooo, I got to go in to TLS today to sub. It was for Jaci the wonderful woman I taught with the last three years. Sadly she is sick and that is what gave me the opportunity to get back to the classroom. I taught with Michelle and she is amazing. She is a gift to those kiddos and I really enjoyed partnering with her for the day. I am going back tomorrow (I am exhausted after just one day)and looking forward to loving on those sweet kinders another day. All this to say, I didn't get to upload the pics of our vacation and wedding, but I promise they are coming....
